Freestore Foodbank
Volunteering is at the heart of what we do at Tristate Freethinkers, and one organization we frequently collaborate with is the Freestore Foodbank. Throughout the school year, we actively participate in their efforts by working at distribution centers to assemble PowerPacks. These PowerPacks are invaluable resources provided to students who rely on free or reduced lunches during the week. On Fridays, these children receive PowerPacks, which ensure they have access to nutritious food over the weekend.
When summer arrives, we continue our commitment to helping those in need by assembling boxes of food for various organizations dedicated to providing food distributions to children facing food insecurity. By lending our support, we contribute to the collective effort of ensuring no child goes hungry during the summer months. Additionally, we are proud to assist the Freestore Foodbank with their endeavors, including events like the rubber ducks regatta!!!
We believe that access to nutritious food is a fundamental right, and we are dedicated to supporting organizations like the Freestore Foodbank in their mission to alleviate hunger and improve the lives of individuals and families in our community.
Join us in making a difference. By volunteering with the Freestore Foodbank, we actively contribute to the well-being of students and the larger community. Together, we can ensure that every child has access to the nourishment they need to thrive, both during the school year and throughout the summer months.
Let’s work hand in hand with the Freestore Foodbank to create a future where hunger is no longer a barrier to success.
