IHN: A Spooky Halloween Themed Dinner for the Families

0

We wrapped up our year as an IHN support congregation with a Halloween inspired evening.  Many thanks to all our volunteers!

From our IHN coordinator:

Wow! What an energetic, completely fun night! BIG thanks, once again, to the Freethinkers – Jen, Mary Kay, Anne, Christopher, Chrissy and new IHN volunteer Sam for making tonight SOAR! Chrissy made the delicious and much-appreciated dinner of hamburgers, tater tots, chicken nuggets, mac & cheese and CUPCAKES which was gobbled up and packed away for lunch tomorrow. Turns out, Million (pronounced Mi Leeon) is an absolute chicken nugget fiend – so he will be looking forward to Nativity’s chicken nuggets later this week. And we all had fun watching out tongues change color with the bright frosting of the spooky Halloween-colored cupcakes.

After dinner, Mary Kay kept the kids occupied with bubbles on this lovely evening in the playground, while Jen, Sam and I enjoyed a walk through the cemetery with one of the children. Then it was homework time!
