Our crafting group, Knotty Heathens, will be making fleece knot blankets for the Every Child Succeeds program. Blankets donated to the program will be given to first-time parents of infants and children ages 0-3 years old.
Please bring with you if you can at least 2 pieces of fleece, each at least 1.5 x 1.5 yard square. We can always cut it down if it is too wide or long. One piece should be a solid color and one a pattern/print.
If you cannot make it but would like to donate materials or money towards the project, please bring it to the November 2nd meeting at Newport on the Levee!
Every Child Succeeds (ECS) is significantly changing the life trajectory for at-risk children and their parents. ECS, which celebrated its 16-year anniversary in 2015, has provided more than 500,000 home visits and served more than 23,000 families. Our staff, volunteers, donors and others are key to the program’s strength.
Every Child Succeeds assists families in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky through home visits that help first-time parents create a nurturing, healthy environment. Home visits, which take place from pregnancy through the child’s third birthday, are designed to ensure an optimal start, both physically and emotionally, for children.
